Ignatian Identity Week 2022

This year’s theme is “The Gospel Has to Grow Little Feet,” based on the words of Rev. Rutilio Grande, S.J., who was martyred in El Salvador in 1977 for his outspoken condemnation of injustice and his calls for pastoral renewal and social change. On Saturday, January 22, the Catholic Church will advance Fr. Grande on the path to sainthood with a celebration of his beatification, where he will become Blessed Rutilio Grande. This Ignatian Identity Week, we will explore the ways that we can all use our little feet to spread the Gospel, following in the footsteps of Fr. Grande, St. Ignatius, and our spiritual leaders. Each of us can use our footsteps in our own sacred journey through the Prep and beyond.
